  Meet the Staff
 
 
Michaela Dolphin-Biba - Operations and Inside Sales
Michaela began working for the largest retail chain in the United States. After this her interest turned to working for a manufacturers representative firm while finishing her college degree in business at Loyola Marymount University. She spent a total of five years as an office manager for two large manufacturer firms in Southern California. Upon finishing her college degree she began her sales career as a district sales manager for a national distributor. Continuing to step up her career for the next three years she went on to become a National Sales Manager for two top manufacturers based in the US and abroad.
 
Ray Biba - Sales - MD, DC, DE
Ray managed inventory control, accounts receivable and mail order entry and customer service departments for a large retail/mail order company. He was part of a two-man department that successfully implemented a computer network system and a new point of sale/accounting software system. In this position he developed programming skills, but more importantly, developed a thorough understanding of the infrastructure of a successful musical instrument retailer. His experience with one of the largest mail order catalog and retail businesses in the nation gives him significant insight into successful strategies for retailers of any size. 

He later moved into a sales position with a broadcast supply company. He credits his selling success to the fact that he was at ease with both technology and software, and was able to impart that knowledge effectively to create confidence in our products and their integration.

 
Pete Petty - Sales - Virginia and DC
With years of experience in musical merchandise retailing and professional sound installation, Pete brings a unique insight into the keys to success for distributors of audio gear. He managed retail stores for a total of 20 years in both North Carolina and Virginia. As general manager of a  M.I. retail store in Virginia, he functioned as sales manager, human resources director, and team leader, making marketing, purchasing, and financial decisions daily. As M.I. superstores set their sights on the independent retailer, his focus on purchasing strategies and market positioning became survival skills. His understanding of the realities of the competitive landscape for both superstores and independent retailers is invaluable.

 

 
Rich Stout - Sales - Eastern PA, Southern NJ and Wilmington, DE
With experience as manager of a retail music store in Red Bank, NJ, Rich chose a new direction for the store by steering the focus from box sales to system sales. This focus became timely and imperative with the proliferation of the super stores. It became impossible for the independent retailer to win a sale by price alone. A more comprehensive strategy caused a surge in sales and resulted in the need to double the retail space to accommodate the increase in business. Larger sales goals were accomplished through education, informative live demonstrations and the ability of the sales people to integrate different manufacturers’ equipment into a complete solution.

In 1995, Rich began working for a manufacturer as National Sales Manager. His task was to interface with all the representatives, dealers and consultants, with the objective of increasing market share. His responsibility was to travel to all the territories meeting current dealers, future dealers and consultants.

 
Jason Drayer - Sales - Central Pennsylvania
Jason joins the team with experience as a general manager of a retail music store in Lemoyne, PA.

Jason is a native of Pennsylvania and has his BA in Music Recording Technologies from Lebanon Valley College in Lebanon, PA. He operates a recording studio and can be heard gigging with "Big Tubba Mista"
